Jeremy Blake - Hindsight (there are so many gems amongst his large catalog plus his Red Means Recording videos are always a treat)
Kimbra - Vows - yes she was on that song with Gotye but she’s awesome in her own right and also has a large catalog. Jeremy samples the song linked here on the Hindsight album (his song also called Settle Down)
Woodkid - The Golden Age (An older(ish) record that feels polished in a unique way, recently learned that Yoann Lemoine is a music video director among other creative pursuits, directing videos for Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Harry Styles and more)
Steamin with the Miles Davis Quintet (Thanks to Kenny Elmore for this one!)
Sufjan Stevens - Javelin (Diane turned me onto this record after taking a few Sufjan records “off”, his story recently has been very sad and it comes through with complexity on this beautiful record that I’m still digesting.)

Another Charlotte Cardin track this week from her upcoming EP. I really love Finneas and it’s hard to point to a single song, but recently this one is my favorite. This Röyksopp song features Susanne Sundfør was brought to me by Aaron Lapierre and I can listen to it on repeat for the better part of a day. Fall Out Boy can be over the top sometimes, but I found this most recent record to be delightful, insightful and witty without being too much. Last track today is from my pal Neel, it’s a long that feels just right.

A few albums I’ve been listing to lately, leaning hard into older folk and blues with the one modern albums being Charlotte Cardin’s 99 Nights. Here are some tracks from each album and links to those albums below.
